Dallas Kachan, Managing Partner, Kachan & Co. Dallas is the principal of cleantech research and consulting firm Kachan & Co. He was formerly managing director and executive editor of the Cleantech Group, the organization credited with coining the term cleantech and founding the cleantech investment class. Dallas has authored 400+ cleantech articles and reports, served on the board of the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business' Cleantech Institute, the editorial advisory board of the cleantech magazine Impact, and is a former director of Centrinity, Inc. (TSX: CTI) and Creative Standard Canada. In 2006, Dallas founded the first trade publisher focused on clean technology, Inside Greentech, acquired by the Cleantech Group. Today, he is a regular speaker on cleantech worldwide, is widely quoted as a clean technology expert in the press and serves as executive director of the Clean Mining Alliance. He's also on the board of EnerMotion and the Fluxville Community Development Society. Dallas previously had a 15 year career as VP marketing in high tech, working with, consulting to or leading engagements for dozens of technology firms in Silicon Valley and Canada, both with his own firm and as a senior consultant with famed technology marketing innovator Regis McKenna. He has a bachelors degree in broadcasting from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. Dallas is also a pilot, and author of the novel The Starship Diaries, chronicling a two year round the world flight and travel adventure.
